I agree. Sounds "ok" but looks a little......boring.

If that is real, I like it....with a rear wheel straight from a 3rd gen.

Except the 3G had a 4 bolt / 8 spoke rear wheel and this new 8th gen bike has a 5 bolt / 10 spoke rear wheel.

Love the swing arm and bet it will bolt up to a 5/6G engine as well...of course if you want to keep your current 3-6G VFR then I would bet that the hub will interchange with the older models.

Kind of digging the radial brakes and the options list but we don't usually get the full list of options here in North America.

I looks like a 5th and a half gen with 7th gen mirrors and a pipe from a ninja.

I actually like the looks of it. But I kind of like plain looking bikes (hell, I don't even have any stickers on my bike lol) and I've never been a fan of naked ones. So this seems like my kind of compromise.

And according to an article on road racing world . com the bike is not listed in American Honda's 2014 product offering...

Exactly what I thought. Happy they have gone to more simple styling, moving away from the horrible styling on the 6th gen bikes.

    Awww Yeeeah!

Looks like they ditched the twin side mount radiators in favor of a chin mounted one up front, radial mount front brakes, front turn signals housed in the mirrors, moved the rear brake fluid reservoir out from behind the seat panel so you can actually get to it easier, new rims,LED headlights, adjustable seat height, adjustable clip-on height, low mount exhaust, redesigned swingarm, redesigned bodywork, redesigned digital dash with gear position indicator,5 stage heated grips as standard equipment,6.6 pound lighter Aluminum rear subframe (which means that new rear subframe oughta weigh in at right around 7.7 pounds because the old steel one weighed in at whopping 14.3 pounds ),and a quick shifter kit available as a factory accessory.

Gotta say I really like the look and layout of the new dash.

I for one will pass. Can't say as the appearance does much for me. Why would they route the pipe on the right? Same mistakes over and over again.

I'm actually glad to see the VFR800 live on. It deserves to. Its got a bit of the CBR600F style on the fairing happening there & boy its going to cop some debris.Like the traditional Honda emblem on the tank, The dash layout looks good, the anodised colour on top of the clamps looks good to & the rear wheel is just fucking gorgeous. I like the bike myself & it says a lot that the basics are still there.

Looks good but, again, Honda doesn't listen to their customers. - 1000cc, please!

I kinda like it. I am not in the market and won't be for a long while. IF I were I would look at this pretty hard.

If it was on the left it would have to go around the SSAA, so it would stick out too far.

Wish I could see a better view of the front.

    I am a fan

A person has to suspect that the price point would be more appealing than the 1200

The real big question other than gear driven cams, is the firing order. Are they staying 180* or going 360* like the 1200?

Depending on the price, I'd realistically be interested. I'm ready to add a 5th gen next summer as it is...
