Were any of you lucky enough to ride today also?

I took the bikes out of the garage to de-winterize them yesterday. Wooooo Hoooooo. The sun was out, weather was 10*C (not hugely warm but nice enough) so I rolled the bikes out, went to hook up the hose to give them a rinse after a winters worth of dust in the garage (I have a tarp for one but not the other) and noticed a hole in the garden hose. Off to the hardware store to replace the hose, and the clouds started closing in, come out of the store and the clouds now have the area socked in. Got back home in time for the rain to start, so I rolled the bikes back in the garage thinking, "Ah hell, I can still do it in the garage", then the rain turned to sleet and then, briefly, snow. #$%&*( [IMG] [IMG]

Closed the garage door, covered the bikes back up and thought maybe I'll try again later.

We were supposed to do a group ride today but due to treats of rain and some pretty high wind gusts it was postponed until next Sunday. We got some crazy hard rain here yesterday so no riding for me.

Lucky to have so many awesome roads out there. I can't wait to head down to the bay area again. You ever had the chance to head up north a bit and do skaggs springs west out of Geyserville? Holy crap is that road alot of fun. I can't even think of a road anywhere in OR that's on the same level as those first 15 miles of skaggs.

Haven't been to Oregon yet, used to ride the Angeles National Forest 60 miles of beautiful road and Mulholland Drive and the Rock Store when we lived in Glendale, Burbank, Pasadena area.

When I get back down to CA again this year definitely hitting up skaggs again. Did the whole ca 36 between red bluff and fortuna 2 years ago. Alot of fun but a long ride. Oregon's got some fun roads, but the good stuff is way out in the high desert.

The Rock Store is on Mulholland Hwy, Mulholland Drive is a terrible road to even drive a 4x4 on, it has needed resurfacing for at least 10 years.
I was on the ACH to Newcomb's Ranch 2 weeks ago with my little vfr and the road surface is terrible but, Big Tujunga Canyon's 9 mile road was clean and green the whole way to the AFH which is also in desperate need of resurfacing.
Anyway, all you sufferers of Winter's DMS {Dormant Motorcycle Syndrome} will be riding soon.

Me too. Well not to work but a 50 mile round trip in pouring rain to get some help doing some brake work. Rained so much my bike began to look like a Seadoo on the freeway. You do have some great roads in Oregon. A few friends and I have ridden a few of them on pur semi regular fall jaunts.

Ya know? All my joking at you easterer's expense about the weather aside, you guys have had one helluva shitty winter. I remember playing in mud puddles as a kid in Winnipeg in mid march. WTF is going on here? Gotta be Bush Jr's fault cause he said there is no problem with the shit we pump into the air.

Riding? What is that? Here in NJ, we still have potholes the size of a VW Bug.

Mulholland Drive and Mulholland Hwy are two different roads, drugs nor my suspension have nothing to do with it. :peaceful:
Have you ridden ACH lately? It was absolutely terrible the other day where as Mulholland Hwy is a clean road 98% of the time with nice smooth pavement.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Mulholland_Drive.png
They do kind of meet up as I have ridden from the east end of Mulholland Drive to the west end of Mulholland Hwy in a few hours but, they do go separate ways because Mulholland Drive ends by the 101.
