I am shopping for a new set. I currently have Michelin Pilot Powers. I found a set of Continental Conti-Motion for a great price online.

Do any of you ride on those Continentals?

    Thanks in Advance

I've run the Conti Motions for a while now (2 seasons). Great tire for the money, just replaced the rear a few days ago. I'm not sure of exact mileage but I wanna say I got about 6500-7000 miles out of it. Good in the rain, not great. Probably not as good as your Michelins in wet weather. Great feel overall in every condition I've had them in. For commuting & sport touring they perform excellent. I have great confidence in them & will continue to run em. Plenty of positive reviews on motosport.com & motorcycle-superstore.com.

I am running those on my 08. Cant say anything great or horrible about them. I commute 110 miles a day mostly in a straght line. Have about 4k on the and there is a definate flat spot on the rear but front looks new. For my riding level they provide plenty of confidence in the twisties. Front tire is noisy under braking but not bad. Hope it helps. The price is what sold me. I would put another set on no questions.

Red means speeding tickets, Black you don't even see me-SR71. I have the same wheel balancer-looks like I should learn how to take tires off-actually this time I am just going to let some put on my new M5 Metzlers-real sporty tires-don't know how long they will last-paid $180 for two so I couldn't pass it up. Next sport touring tires.:pirate::kaboom:

I have nothing but positive thoughts about the Conti Motions. Was on a (small) group ride a couple of weeks ago, and I had no problem keeping up with the lead bike (Yammy R1) especially in the corners. My chicken strips are barely there....

I've had my contimotions for 5k miles, and even though they have taken everything I have thrown at them (riding courses and Ozark runs), I never really liked the front tires profile. It's very round and tips in slow. Also, the are single compound, I or prefer dual. The front tire now has worn into an egg shape and vibrates badly and low speed cornering is very awkward. They do not wear very well. Even though they have some more miles left, I'm going to get new tires, cause these are uninspiring and don't give me any kind of confidence anymore.

The main reasons I bought them was the $$$. But I am very pleased with them. But in a perfect world, I would go back to the Michelin Pilot Powers

I'm cheap too. I want to give shinko 010 apexes a try, but I feel I will be let down again by a budget tire.

I prefer "budget conscious", owning a bike is not cheap at all, especially when you add in all the additional costs

My front Conti has started to square off a little & has developed a slight vibration at certain speeds. This is a after about 10-11k miles with enough useable tread to get through the remainder of this season. Will probably replace it sooner, have a track day coming up in late August. I'm sure there are better tires on the market. Still for the money & considering the mileage, its a great tire if your on budget.

Replaced the Dunlop Roadsmarts on my Busa with some Pirelli Diablos. Cyclegear had 'em on sale last month for $199-$239 ish for the pair (depending on size). I don't expect them to last as long but what a difference. Feel so much better in every way than the Dunlops.

ContiMotion is a worst tire I have had on any bike so far. You get what you pay for (or maybe even less). It's a cheap, discount tire from a major manufacturer. Don't get lured by the low price. Was only half decent for first few thousand kilometers then started sliding and squirming. Not a good tire at all.

Do not cheap out on rubber!!! A good quality tire will last you longer too so even though you pay more you can put more mileage on it. Tires and brakes are the most important safety components.

I have PR3 on the front and PR4 on the rear at the moment and couldn't be happier.

This is the third season I've run Contimotions. No issues at all. While the cliche you get what you pay for certainly is true in many cases. Every so often you find a product thats worth more than what you paid for it. Price doesn't always reflect quality. I have no doubts there are better tires on the market. Keep in mind best is getting the most for your money. Then getting the most out of it. As always when it comes to wear & tear items individual results may vary.
