If you could spend $20.000 on a bike (bikes) tomorrow and not a penny more what would you get?

Hey. In Canada, that gets you a brand new 1014 VFR and maybe a new set of riding gear.

I think that would be the way I go too. I am quite pleased with my VFR now and would expect to be equally pleased with the new '14. I am just not interested in the other bikes. Not right now anyway. You can have your BMWs and so on, They are fine bikes I am sure, but I will just stick with my Honda....at this time.

If I were a little younger and maybe a little less diagonally proud, I would consider maybe a Duc.

Since it wasn't stipulated that I have to get rid of a current bike, I agree. And it would probably never see a road mile. Instant track bike.

Would I have to spent it all tomorrow? I would keep my 03' and look for a deal on a BMW R1200RT for touring, and use balance to upgrade suspension on VFR.

You have expressed my sentiments exactly. At this point in my life i have the best bike I have ever owned (2000 VFR) and I have a choice. I can keep spending money on bikes or i can go ride. I think I want to ride more in the time I have left. Trip money is what I crave most.

Yes, tomorrow as close as you can to 20.000.

That BMW is a great choice btw... They couldn't keep them in showrooms at one point.

That's a great bike. I would probably by 1000R. And maybe a cruiser for the remaining $$ if there is any.

I'd get a 1999 MV Augusta F4 Oro. Sex on wheels, pure and simple. I'd ride it every once in a while, but mostly it would sit in my living room so I could look at it whenever I wanted to.

Wow... the Griso 1200 looks awesome. I can't wait to get home (after my ride) and read and watch some reviews on it
Maybe something to think about instead of adding a cruiser to my VFR.

    Depends ..
Will this 20k bike be my only bike? (In which case I'd get another VFR1200)

Or do I get to keep my VFR1200 and Monster 1100EVO? (In which case I'd get a used 1198 for the track and some street legal ~400cc trail thing that I could explore the many forest service roads in the Cascade Mtns.)

    In addition to yours.
It's good to see how much you love your VFR :)

Ask me again in January. I ride quite a bit thru the winter/spring, and I know I am going to miss the wind/rain protection that my former R1200RT and FJR's provided ... but the VFR just eats up the bends so naturally, I am hooked.
