Look at what I ran across on CL.

    2003 VFR800 RC46

    11,xxx miles

    $6,750

I have too many bikes. She's gorgeous, sorted and very mint.

Meticulously upgraded, the way Honda should've done it . . . needs nothing. Shades of Honda's V-4 exotics NR750, RC30, RC45, and current MotoGP race bikes . . . in a compact true sport touring package, unlike the behemoths of today.

    - RC51 SP1 forks, fully adjustable
    - RC51 SP1 lower triple clamp/steerer
    - CBR1000RR upper triple
    - RC51 SP1 front wheel assembly
    - Lightened front axle bolt
    - Brembo 4-pad front calipers (best non-monobloc) with Brembo adapters
    - '07 CBR1000RR front rotors
    - '07 CBR1000RR front fender
    - "HRC" racing heritage 8-spoke center-locking RC rear wheel and spindle
    - Honda Blackbird CBR multi-adjustable rear shock, 20mm longer for quicker steering
    - 20mm lift rear links
    - Woodcraft 2.5" risers
    - Galfer stainless steel brake and clutch lines
    - Michelin Power 2CT tires
    - EK 530 Gold chain
    - Sprocket Specialists Ultra Lite rear sprocket
    - Tank Slapper paint protection
    - Competition Werkes fender eliminator, modified; with LED
    - Honda OEM cowl cover
    - Battery tender wired
    - Dan Moto Hornet 900 carbon fiber slip ons (sounds beautiful)
    - De-linked braking system (better performance riding control)
    - Double Bubble windscreen
    - Renntec touring rack, removable
    - Accessory power plug
    - Passenger pegs, not shown
    - Paddock stand and cover included
    - Registration through April 2015

    Cheers,

    Bill

    Nice upgrades.

While it sounds like the seller paid attention to details, ironic that he made no mention of the R/R being updated or the wiring harness recall being done. Maybe just an oversight on his ad, but all those sweet mods ain't gonna do you no good if your wires are fried and your sittin on the side of the road.

And if he were truly serious about it being the VFR that should have been, it would have the 5th gen engine in it. And not Dan Moto exhaust cans. Kind of surprising really, those are the cheapest of the cheap. He obviously spent some coin on the rest, why skimp on that?

I'm not too familiar with those cans...but I did listen to them on YouTube...it did sound rather "motocross like, but they weren't on a VFR. I'd rather have Leo Vince or Two Brothers.

    Yup...Here is what CL says:
    2003 Honda VFR800 VTEC VFR 800 RC46 - $6750 (Newhall/Valencia/Santa Clarita)

Not sure how long it's been there though.
