I was wondering what the best repair manual to get for a '06 VFR. I have a service plan with the dealership I bought the bike from, so all the maintenance for the next 3 years is already pre-paid. Therefore, I won't be doing much maintenance myself (which is good, since I am not good with a wrench.) However, I think it is still a good idea to have a repair manual around just in case. Any ideas on which is a good one and where to get it?

    Cheers,
    -Jon

I have two: the factory manual ($60 from Helm) and the new Haynes manual ($24 from J&P Cycles). The Haynes is better, written from a do-it-yourselfer's perspective. Much better pictures also.

I purchased the repair manual from Honda since I'll be doing all repairs myself - this manual is a bit more techy. From experience other manuals like the Haynes explains it more like for the do-it-yourself, like Florida posted.

I use the factory manual for my 2004, it is a bit pricey, but paid for itself on the first month I got it. One big plus with me was that I know that it will be accurate.

I have the factory mannal as well, wouldn't hurt to have a back up from another perspective.

I have two: the Honda service manual and a Clymer. Use them both although the Honda one is way more in depth.
