Gear shift indicator failed / check engine light
So I was just running an errand and on the way home looked down and saw no gear position indicated (manual not DCT bike) and a check engine light on. I just had the bike service recently, so I'm wondering if the lads didn't tighten something correctly when they put it back together. I'm seeing a flickering neutral light no matter what gear I'm in now. I do have the mod plug for the throttle nanny installed, but I can imagine that is causing the neutral light to come on.

    Has anyone else seen this?

I would disconnect the mod and see if the problem goes away. Either the gear position sensor is bad, or there's an issue along the connection between it and ECM...that is where the mod is located.

    Mod caused the problems

So my mod plug went bad and caused the problem. It could be that it got hot, but there is no obvious reason why it failed.
