I have decided to sell my 86 vf 500f that I have been letting my girlfriend use for her 1st bike .I put 1200 miles on last fall .It has 20,500 on it now. I will post or send pics. It was laid down by her but I rode it home and have ridden serval times sense .All cosmetic upper faring has some rash and a crack in the front fender. Brand new battalax rear tire. A CBR f4 modified shock by Jamie daughtery lowerd 3/4 inch for her . 2 seats one is brand new shaved to sit lower with gel pad and red cover. The seat was 250. And the shock with new spring was 300. Also new rear pads. Fork seals. Carb clean. Has dynojet kit in carbs and k&n filter. 500 miles on valve adjustment. Motor is super quiet .cobra f1 exhaust. I blasted and epoxy 1500 deg paint the entire exhaust . aftermarket blinkers and a spare tank to go with it. I would like it to go to someone who can appreciate a vf. Or that wants a full bike for a project.

It looks like im going to have to part it out. 1,000 for the complete running bike if anyone would be intersted . otherwise i will probaly start tearing it down after xmas. mike 920-495-3234 i can send pics of anything you would like. . i would prefere to keep bike complete as its totally hop on and take a ride. but have to get rid of it asap .have no room for it.

If you don't get any takers on the complete bike, I need a tank that doesn't leak(have one of those already), the tail section, and possibly a seat(as long as it's red and not as faded as mine:smile-new:) If you can post a pic or two of the bike that would be great.

I hate kreeming a tank. It's leaking around a couple of seams, so I'm gonna strip it and braze it up.

Wow, that looks like a great bike. Have you tried Craigslist? Ones like yours go for $1200-1500 around here. I really doubt you'll get that much parting it out, but that's just my opinion.

    Good luck!
