Due to a breakdown, the shipper was delayed a few days and I finally received my bike at 6:30 this morning. I spent the whole day meticulously going through it and it has exceeded my expectations. The seller told me that when it was picked up last Tuesday, the shipping company noted that there were no defects / flaws with the bike. I am glad to say that I couldn't find any either. There are 3069 miles on the odometer and it came with paperwork for all service ever performed, of which were mainly oil changes. It is in like new / mint condition. It rained here the entire day, so I did not have a chance to test ride it, but hope to over the next couple of days. Beyond that, there is no telling how many more days there will be before the end of the riding season, but I would be content to just put in some miles to verify that it rides as good as it looks.

Very nice! Got mine with almost exact same mileage in April. Put 3500 on it since then, you'll love it!

Nice find and good looking bike. You'll be able to ride tomorrow. It will be in the low 70's here and headed your way in a day. Enjoy. My day of riding is today of coarse, I'll be thinking about you...........................;)

Beautiful, had mine since July, moved from a 919, no regrets! Enjoy, stinks the season us ending, I started out at 34 degrees this morning, but haven't ridden in over a week so I had to brave it!

Yes and I did. I got 60 miles on it going to and from work and it ran flawlessly. We had a high 53 degrees today, but it's going up to 74 tomorrow.

Thanks Scuba! I'm still wondering how well you healed up.

Yes, the bags were a bonus. I would have bought the bike without them for the same price. The Spyder is now the touring machine for the wife and kids. The VFR is MINE!

I ordered the first one in October of 2006 and owned it up to June of 2013. I made the mistake of selling it when we bought the Spyder. I have since seen the error of my ways which is why I had to have another one. I have owned a VFR / Interceptor of some model for the last 26 years, so I should have known I'd regret selling it.

The best thing is that you get to start over again with a next to new slate. You may have to redo a number of the additions you had on the other bike but you are starting with a fantastic example of VFR glory. Just maybe there was something about your old bike that you changed that you weren't quite sure was THE right mod. Now you can go back and say "Heh, maybe if I do THIS, instead of THAT." Not that any of us liking doing mods to our bikes, noooooooo. Have fun with the new machine and may you enjoy it as much the second time around as we all know you will.

Very true. It feels good to have the same bike with lower mileage. I am pondering what updates I want to make. Most of the ones I had done before will probably be done on this bike as well. Then there are some others that I am thinking about skipping or replacing with something else. I guess I'll have all winter to figure it out.

The shoulder will never the same  It is still uncomfortable due to the plate and all the hardware still embeded on my shoulder
    especially wear seat bell driving.
    P.S: That RWB is pristine...........!

Sorry to hear that. Are they planning to take the hardware out? Maybe that will provide some relief. At least you're still riding though!!!
