Hey VFR's I hope all is well.

I know this is a highly sought after wheel. I missed the boat on one that was offered on ebay two weeks ago. I just wanted to know if anyone had any suggestions on how to get this wheel as I have called all the local salvage yards in SoCal and have had no luck. Any suggestions / leads would be greatly appreciated.

Call a motorcycle salvage yard. Most of the large ones are connected to other salvage yards through a networked database and if they don't have one in stock they can certainly find you one. Last time I checked they were selling in the $350-$400 range but the only downside is that you won't be able to see pictures of the part beforehand and your definition of "good condition" may be very different from theirs.

Do what I did and buy a parts bike. I paid $400 for this one, right before I got it running! Sold the bike for $200' then powder coated the wheel, them mounted on my 2007.

Ha! I bought mine for $500 and ended up getting it running well. I would not sell it so now I am the "Whore-Massa" of Gen 3 bikes in the South :loco:

20140801_112648.jpg 20141012_163702_2.jpg Hope I did't bomb oot this post with pictures. My older bike gets to top speed faster, but I can't complain about the white one. From what could have been a parts bike turned out really well, a little luck don't hurt.

I have an 8-spoker that I bought from OOTV. OOTV had it sitting around and even offered it up to a few people yet nobody wanted it! Go figure right? So I took advantage of a bargain. Sorry but it's currently attached to my '07 RWB. LOL! But don't worry. They pop up on Ebay every once in a while and usually are overpriced. It's good to have a friend like OOTV that's all I have to say.

I have a '91 that circumstance is forcing me to look at parting out. If you're interested I can send you some pictures of my wheels this evening after I get home. They're in good condition and currently the stock gold/bronze color. Located in Ohio (43040.)

Are these the right OEM part numbers for the bearings for this wheel?
    91258-ml7-003 dust seal
    91061-mt4-003 bearing
    42500-mn8-000 bearing holder

Any suggestions on where to find them would be great. OEM price tag for the aforementioned parts is $200 on partzilla
