I can't seem to find the posts Gavin bombed us with a couple of days ago but I was just looking at some pic in the photo gallery he had posted and I have a feeling that he has the carbs on back to front anybody else noticed this? No wonder he was having problems with hoses going everywhere

Are you gonna listen to a commie, or someone with a name like "derstuka?"

Well, Obummer did call me personally and ask me to "redistribute the 'width."

I noticed this as well. The carb with the throttle actuator on it was definitely in the wrong place.

When JC is flying a divebomber, what else could be expected? Where is Mad Max when we need him?

Rotary, I first noticed the "T" feed to the carbs from the pump was at the front of the motor and then I noticed the throttle cables/actuator was on the wrong side. Looks like he might have picked up his bat and gone home

Carbs are on backwards? How the heck did he, or someone else, pull that off and why?

Because they broke the cardinal rule of V4 carb removal and separated them from the baseplate.

Well I for one hope he keeps trying and gets it right. Maybe he will see this thread when he gives it another go. Not a lot of the 750s cruising around anymore.....

Gavin I have no idea where your posts have gone I have noticed this before but just though it was me not knowing how to follow things. Unless you have reversed the pics, the carbs are on backwards, throttle cables should be on the left hand side. I don't know if the can be reversed without removing them from the base plate but if they have been removed I don't know what damage this does but everything I have heard here is that is a big NO NO. This is why you have hoses and cables going in all directions. Hopefully somebody else will chime in on what you can now do about the carbs. Stay with us and we will help where we can, just have to take it slowly one step at a time, do 2 things at the same time and it becomes hard to then work out where to go next

They are definitely not frontwards. The carb with the actuator that the throttle cables hook to should be on the front left cylinder as you sit on the bike. Logic would dictate that the other 3 should only go one way in relation from there. I'm sure it was an easy mistake to make when faced with a box o' parts like you were. For future reference though, DO NOT separate the individual bodies from the baseplate. The "T" fitting that feeds fuel to the carbs from the tank should be in the back, right between the two rear carbs.

Ok I will see about getting it all turned around and try AMD find a good pic of the completed assembly so no more really obvious mistakes will made (I hope)
