I saw those and was thinking of getting them for the bird. They really look nice. Wasn't sure about quality and if they would actually work like good ones are supposed to. So how are they?

Have also got these, exactly same as mine. Bust my clutch lever (dont ask) standard lever was £12.00, a pair of these were £15.00. Very well made and work a treat. Well worth the money.

I've had these on all of my bikes over the past 5 years. Gotta say, despite my general dislike for most cheap Chinese parts, these were unexpectedly nice. the little notch molded into the lever is nice. I had a stand still tip over once and the lever snaps at the indent and not closer to the pivot. Not sure if the OEM would have snapped or just bent. Either way, it meant that the lever was still useable and I could get home.

Glad to here these positive comments, the only downside is that I am not a fan of buying Chinese stuff, and would much rather give my money to home industries, but the truth is the stuff we produce is very often overpriced for what it is,I'm not rich so if I can buy quality stuff for a fraction of the usual price its a no brainer. To add to this Yesterday I bought a pair of Helibars from ebay used,The price of new pair here in the UK is the equivellant of $400 dollars to me that is a ridiculous price for what it must cost to produce them,so maybe our home grown companys will wake up and smell the coffee!

This was one of the first changes I made to my 07. I bought the Chinese Pazzo knock-offs and installed those, along with a Kaoko Cruise and some Grip Puppies. A Friend has the Pazzos and was pissed when he saw mine, which were about 80% less than he paid and identical. I'm with jimlowe too, I really wish our own businesses didn't price themselves out of the market. Most of time I buy the name brand items because the quality is much better than the knock-offs and the customer service is great, but sometimes its just a matter of the money...I'm not rich.

They are it exactly identical. The expensive levers do have a bushing at the pivot pin where the knockoffs do not. Not a deal breaker in my book as I can install a bushing later if I ever wear them out. Or a guy throws them in a trash and buys another set because you're still money ahead.

The great thing aboot Heli-bars is that they work and will outlast the bike. Saving the stock bars is a good idea too. Used Heli-Bars seem to be easy to sell.

Best get used to buying goods from China. The argument is about on the levels of Harleydoods and their delusion that everything from Japan is made of old beer cans.

I figured they had to be less longevity quality some place. You're right not a deal breaker at that price. I ordered a long set yesterday in red from here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/26165688696...49&var=560525943195&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT

Can pick long or short, color and color of adjuster lever. Takes about a month to get them. So what, it's winter here.

I was just thinking about levers for my bike! I think I have seen these but I was also wondering about the quality too.

Is there any advantage to the short levers? I assume the long levers are the same as stock.

The quality is the same as something you would pay 5x the price for,the clutch side doesn't have the brass bush, but don't see that as a problem,I like the short version,as my little finger buts up against ball on the end. When you consider the cost its a no brainer !

One important thing to realize is that the pigment used in the anodizing on these levers does not have any kind of UV resistance. Mine have faded out to a kind of gold tinted chrome finish. I don't mind the color change, but if you really want it to keep a glossy black look the whole time you own it, that is not a realistic expectation.
