Going to buy a 2015 vfr800 in March, this will be my first street bike, I am wondering about the factory quick shift option? It sounds cool will it be worth it? Any other advice welcome.
Bad idea unless you have prior riding experience, at least 100 miles riding in city traffic. A big bike won't forgive common beginner mistakes easily, and bodywork is uber-expensive. Like jumping in the deep end before you've proved you can swim. A VFR is best as a ride you graduate into after you've passed your exams on smaller bikes. :smile-new: It's a topic debated here over hundreds of posts and dozens of years.
Sorry slightly misunderstood I said first street bike, currently riding a wr250r dual sport, spent a year on this bike deciding what to get well gaining some experience. This will still be a large step up.
