I logged more than 500km's on the VFR today - the weather hit a high of 22*C (72*F) and it was sunny. I was on the road for about 7.5 hours.

The wind was a little gusty though - 30kph gusting to 50kph. Not so bad driving with or into the wind, a little irritating having it at your side though.

Managed to get some varied altitude changes and twisties ... and then there was the bald ass straight stretches of prairies ... heck, I even crossed teh border twice today!

Made a quick pitstop for some lunch at a Rotten Ronnies too. I'm paying for it now. Thank goodness I got home when I did ... LOL!

I shoveled gravel,...wet fucking gravel...in the rain and wind. Snowed overnight on the Coquihalla.

But the other day, I took the bike to work for afternoon shift. New job you see. Was midnight before I left for home. Riding home on a new highway from Vancouver to Chilliwack, I got lost and spent about 2.5 hours riding all over the fuggen place and didn't have a care in the world. Was a tad chilly though but I had the foresight to bring along my Gerbings.

Got VFR! Got credit card! Got no worries! Got good life!

So what are you up to now Randy. I managed to get a measly 150 Kim's in today. Weather was in mid teens and very gusty (up to 75 km/h). Most of the ride was pretty good and in between the hills so not very windy unless on the highway between Kelowna and Vernon.

What are all you fellow Canucks getting for temps on your Viffers in the high teens / low 20's for ambient temp?

Are you wondering about bike operating temps Jeff? Mine usually runs at around the 90-95 Celsius range when ambient temps are in the 15-20 Celsius range.

Mine runs mid nineties usually.....today i just went for lunch in Cache creek on it. It gets hot here in the summer so it may get a bit warmer once the temp outside hits 40.

    Yah, specifically sitting in traffic.

I hit 107*C today with an ambient temperate of 22*C. Just concerned it's running that warm already and it's not even that hot out yet.

On the highway, I was averaging high 80's to mid 90's which seems well within spec for that.

Is that highway or sitting in traffic?

Enjoying it. Shuttling empty and loaded trailers between the Seaspan Barges for the Island and between different Staples warehouses. Its a bitch getting those 53 foot trailers into some of those tight loading docks here in Vancouver. Not a whole lot of room to get truck straight before you back into the dock. Flat land is scarce here and so is the size of the parking lots. Also, the way Vancouver bitches walk, ride and drive, its a wonder I don't run them over. Idiots walk and drive right in front or behind you while your are moving. Getting over some of the bridges here during evening rush is like watching grass grow.

Still in training mode, more to know the Staples Way of doing things.

Had some gravel left over from the shed build in a pile on my driveway. Hand packed the space around the shed to compact the gravel there to free up some more room so I could get rid of the pile in the driveway. Those hand stampers are a work out too but its is all done. Just a coat of paint now.

That was riding around on the highway. Typically between 60 and 100 km/h. I think the lowest temp I remember while riding was 85 Celcius. When I got back to Kelowna, I sat in traffic for a few lights and got up to 102 Celcius. I have hit 109 Celcius in traffic during the summer months here in the Okanagan when the average ambient temps are in the 30-40 Celcius range most of the time.
