It's possible. Started down the blue ridge parkway last wed. Now in soCal.

    You'll need:
    Fresh rear tire
    Helibars
    Airhawk pad
    Givi cases (or equivlent)
Spare stator coil (just to be safe)
    Core strength of a silverback

    Good luck.

I arrived at Texarcana with intent on riding three sisters loop next day. That got canned do to flash flood watches. Spent the day watching radar express on my phone and dodging storm cells across the state. Was mostly successful avoiding the rain. Did hit a mean headwind for about 100 miles. Saw my mpg drop to 31. Rolled into some podunk town on fumes. No kidding the whole state was overcast at least. Didn't see sun until new mexico. Camped at Lake sumner state park.

Did a loop through the state parks north of Santa fe. Then sedona, grand canyon, camped at Zion. 89 is a road you must do before hanging up the keys for good. Tons of photos but here is Zion.

Awesome! I'm planning a trip from SC to MT and back for this fall, so any road suggestions would be appreciated

Sure as long as you head to cali first, then up the west coast then over to MT. :eek:nthego:

Was just able to do two runs over Angeles crest, nobody was up there.

How long are you going to be here in Cali? Any time for a meet up with some So Cal members?

Unfortunately, no. I will be doing a few runs at CA-190 tomorrow up at Sequoia then heading north to visit some folks.

Bummer. Too bad you weren't at this point last weekend, you could have joined us at R3. Anyway, have safe ride and when you get back home be sure to give us a report.

    Cheers!

    San Juan skyway tomorrow.

Then I get to pilot the war rig back east across the endless wastelands. Sorry I mean the "heartland"
