    Hey folks,

Don't worry, not just another "what exhaust is good" thread, hopefully I've narrowed it enough to be valid. I'm a new owner of a 98 model, and there really isn't a damned thing I would change, except for that she needs a bit more bark. The cams sing a sweet song, but a bit more bass would accent the melody quite nicely. It needs to be a low-mount as I have side bags, basically needs to fit the way the stock one does. Yes, I know, high-mounts look frikkin sweet and open up the single-side swinger, but it just ain't gonna work in my case.

Any experience with low-mount slip-ons in our group? Thanks!

    What's your budget?

Best cheap option seems to be Delkevic. Cost-is-no-object: Staintunes sound GLORIOUS! Two Brothers is a good alternative in the middle.

    I had a D&D & it was friggin LOUD.

Think my Carbon "Arrow" sounds pretty good without being too loud.

Which case are you using? I'm shopping for cases but don't care for looks or costs of Givi offerings.
Find some one with a welder and band saw. re shape intermediate pipe to taste.

The side bags are Krauser. They came with the bike, and fit and look great. The frames and mounts are really solid, too, not the slightest shifting or rattling.

As for my budget, I don't really want to go for broke, I'd say $500 or less is a good ceiling. I like the price of the Delkevic setup, and another brand that's popular here in europe is MIVV. Any experience with that one? Another fun game we have to play here in Germany is the certificate game, pipes like Yoshimura, Two Brothers, Akra and many many others can be a real PITA to make road legal. Yup, I know, it's retarded. Not a damned thing I can do about it, though.

Thanks man, was a bit of a find. 15k miles and never ridden in winter so jumped in with both feet.

I hate the trendy 'stubby' pipes so this 350 seems to sit right between old skool too long and the stubbies.

Staintune is less than $700 shipped right now. I ordered mine Thursday. I had a high mount, but it wouldn't work with the givi bags, so I sold it. Loved the sound with the silencer in. Too loud out. I just saved money for another few months so I could afford the best

Someone asked me where I bought my Staintune. I got it direct from them in Australia.

    $800 aud
    $100 aud shipping
    $900 aud = $662 usd
    $7 us for oversee transaction
