5th gen wheel color.

Ok, Lets see those one of dolled up, redone, freshly powder coated, 5th gen rims. I'm going over color options, which got me thinking, be cool to see what you guys have done.

 

Okay, here's mine:

 

Think these are my favorites: chrome, silver, or the goldish/Ducati looking wheels.

 

I'm a fan of white wheels but they are a bitch to keep clean! 3rd Gen Gold wheels look good with red body panels.

Agree. White is a bitch to keep clean of brake dust. Especially in the creases of the spokes. But I do like how the white looks on my white bitch. But on red, I have seen gold chrome or gold anodized wheels from another model of bike that looked orgasmic on red. Thye were far brighter than the powder coqated gold already shown here.

 

Did you throw a coat of clear on that aluminum once you got it all polished up? If not, I think you may see that unprotected aluminum get marked up pretty bad. Even pitted.

While we're at the topic of cosmetic upgrades you might want to look at the ZG double bubble dark windscreen. It really makes the bike look cool and badass with the extra benefit that it does help with the highway winds.

 

My 5th Gen,

 

All of my VFRs now have white wheels. This is the only one without an 8 spoker, but I am looking for one.

Found one! It matches too.

 

Still looking for the mysterious 8 spoke, but while at it and the weather is lousy had some thoughts on wheel colors if and when. Black ice or Gold bronze is looking good.
