Truly an unbelievably low reasonable price. If they are really fresh and don't need going-through! A thorough cleaning would cost the same as that"new" price.

 

I bought a pair of cbf600 brake calipers for my 750 front end upgrade.
Arrived about a week later.

Zombie thread alert.
I just bought that set of carbs in the Ebay advert. Not received them yet. I just hope they are 32mm and not 30mm. I am pretty sure they are for an Interceptor and not a Magna. The seller is very polite and helpful but he is not very familiar with the permutations and combinations of VF500 carbs. He sent me more pictures and they do indeed look brand spanking new.

Here's my scenario….

I am trying to replace the entire carb assembly for my 1993 VFR 750 F (pearl white). All the gaskets are leaking, and I don't have the visual acuity to be able to perform a carb kit installation. Yes, I could pay someone else to do it, but then the cost of the kit plus cost of having it installed exceeds what I can buy a clean assembly for. That brings me to my question. I found a great complete carb assembly from a '92 VFR750F. I know from the forums that the '92 and '93' VFR750s used the exact same carb assembly. However, the assembly I found online is from a California (CA) VFR750F…and I own a non-CA VFR750F. Will the assembly still mate up to my engine? At most, would I simply have to plug up any runs or hoses that might lead to smog canisters, etc., on a California built VFR750F?

Sorry I wouldn't know.
My experience is with 86-89 models.
My 700 is a california model.
There is no smog shit on my bike, it just has a fuel vapour canister. When I removed it I use piping to plug any vacuum take off points.

I now have these Ebay carbs. They are 32mm diameter. They are brand new! The float bowl O rings are a bit flattened from age but you can't expect miracles.
The code is VD56E which is a 1985 Canadian flavour I think.
They have the side fuel entry.
They have two vent tubes connected to the T tubes connecting the carbs
The main jets (only checked one so far) are #90
So they look like 84 carbs after they have been modified according to that service bulletin from 1985
I am very pleased with them and I now expect my 86 to go like a rocket
