Here are the results from the Dyno Run yesterday that was done at the Go AZ dealership located in Scottsdale, AZ. Shows the before and after install of the PCV (GPR slip-on included for both runs). I did not have the air filter installed as the guy doing the dyno said that the stock filter actually produced more power. I took him for his word as it saved me some money too.

The PCV added 4.28 HP & 4.44 ft-lbs of Torque. The bike definitely pulls harder as expected but the throttle response is much smoother and quicker than before. As a result, you can say goodbye to gas mileage as I got about 35 mpg on the ride home; mostly highway between 75-80 mph.

Overall, I would recommend the PCV if you're willing to spend the money for a small gain in power and better throttle response/input, and if you don't care about your mpg. Maybe do it after you get that tax return.

    This was an 8th gen.

He did recently dyno a 5th (or 6th gen?) VFR that got 103 HP but I think it had less torque.

Thanks. Do you have a printout of the air/fuel ratio too?

Yeah, I'd recommend it. Also, the gas mileage isn't as bad as I thought. I've been averaging around 42-43 mpg, commuting daily on the highway.

I really wish I could find someone who makes a full exhaust though. I'm sure it would put her above 100hp and shave some weight. I can dream...

Where did you get your PCV? Can you post a link to it?

Here's the link. I got it from Revzilla; bought it when it was on sale for around $320 back before Christmas.

Hey mj8411, you say the PCV smoothes out the transition to VTEC as well? that's even more reason to buy a PCV. I've really admired the VFR's for a long time and always wanted a long-haul capable sport tourer. When I read the reviews of the 8th gen, combined with the looks, and then the price I was able to find, I couldn't resist. Additionally, the reviews all stated the transition to VTEC was much better than earlier versions, so I took the plunge. I was surprised upon riding it how much and how sudden the transition to VTEC - with that in mind, the transition to VTEC must have been horrific on the early gens (no disrespect to guys with earlier gens intended)!

Don't put words in my mouth! Haha...I didn't say the transition smoothed out because I thought it was already pretty smooth before the PCV. Although, like I said above the bike definitely pulls harder when you hit 6900 rpm so the acceleration isn't as smooth/gradual as before, which you can see on the dyno graph. It gives the engine a little more character in my opinion.

My main point about it being smoother was directly aimed at how the throttle responded more to my liking.
