Since the good weather hopefully will be showing up sooner than later, was wondering how many VFR owners here in the PNW would be interested in getting together? Where and when depends on the responses. I'm just curious for now, but it does sound like it could be a good time. I mean sheesh, if R3 can do this, can we go one better? ;)

Hah! When I get some of my shit together I wouldn't mind holding a small scale version perhaps. Our place is actually fairly small, I'm just spoiled that my shop square footage is the same as our house. Not including another 200 square foot garage I built (well... still need to side it and put a garage door on) to hold parts bikes, future projects, (more) bike parts and the shit I didn't want in the shop (camping, gardening, lawn mower, etc...)

Being more north, I obviously would vote for some thing closer to Seattle, but I am certainly not opposed to traveling a bit. Not saying your place, but someplace around Olympia might be a good compromise distance wise to include the Portlandia people and Seattlelites (is that how you spell that?).

I'd be up for it in the Portland area (as I'm already 2 hours south of Portland), in the less rainy climate

If Wa and Or had roads worth riding I might be interested. Are aliens welcome at this event?

I do have a fairly busy summer travel wise but i could do this if it became a yearly event. I can usually swing R3 every 2years but closer to home, I couLd likely swing yearly. Now, one must wonder how the bike will hold up.

I would be interested in meeting with others to ride. I'm in between Portland and Seattle.

I'd give it a try too. I'm on Whidbey Island and anxious to go almost anywhere. Post a place/date and let's see who can sign up. South of Randle, WA might be fun and not too inconvenient for the OR folks. Or my preferred area around Colville, which is pretty darn inconvenient.

I'm thinking the Mt. St. Helens area? Hwy 504, Hoffstadt Center seems to be a fair spot for those in and around the greater Portland scene, as well as the greater Seattle bunch. Lets see how this plays out, We still have time unless those need a 6 month head start.

I'm just south of Portland, but totally game for a trip to anywhere in the PNW. St. Helens area, and/or around the back of Adams would make for a great day. What time are we thinking? With rain the last 15 days out of 17, the good ride days are still slim.

Good question, that's been in the back of my mind, seems as though the weather does tend to be better or at the least a little more predicable after July 4th, don't know why that is, just seems to be that way. So that said maybe like the first weekend of Aug? I have a couple family outings I need to tend to in July, after that I'd like to think it's my turn. maybe before but like you mentioned unless we can make the commitment in a week, maybe sooner May ain't to bad. SMH.

September after the little shits all get back to school, the roads are relatively empty of all those PITA campers. Weather is usually still good.
