Freeway speeding crack down

Hey guys, just wanted to give everyone a heads up. I got pulled over today on the south bound 23 between Simi and TO for going 84 mph. I wasn't weaving or being dangerous just going a little fast. The officer explained that the eastern Ventura county freeways have a higher motorcycle fatality crash rate than the rest of Ventura county so they are cracking down on bikers speeding. I usually don't go above 80 mph but just wasn't paying close enough attention to my speed while enjoying the ride. So just know, bike cops are looking for us.

Also I took black canyon today out of Simi Valley and into Chatsworth and there is a lot of dirt wash on the road. Water from the recent rains washed legitimate piles of dirt onto the road that could easily wash out your front end in a turn so keep them eyes peeled.

What is the speed limit on that section of the 23? CHP stop or local LEOs?

 

Speed limit 65.

Pretty sure a rider got killed last week splitting lanes speeding while cars were almost at a standstill. ..in T.O.
