Welcome to the forum. Please add the model year to your profile as that gives pertinent information right off the bat.

Is there a recall on your bike's driveshaft? Was it taken care of or otherwise not apply to your bike?

Next, what RPM is the bike at in each gear?

I have read recommendations here from Honda to owners to keep the revs up on this engine. Some European versions exploded their crankshafts and Honda's response was that they were lugging the engine, and to keep the revs above 5000 RPM. Maybe they configured it this way because you may not otherwise alter the sprocket configuration for city riding appropriate short gearing. So it may just command higher RPMs from you than you would presume for this large engine.
