Curious on the value of the 85 interceptor in good condition?
I picked up a complete 85 and an almost complete 84 parts bike. Parts will be sold once i go through it all.

Was a bloke here a couple of days ago looking for a 500 motor. Be careful about what you sell because you never know what you might need and the supermarket where you get old parts shut up shop a long time ago.

Some have less than 10k miles, others are around 30k but those are actually the ones that have been taken care of. 10k miles in 30 years= this bike sat for a looong time.

I don't think OP is looking to buy one. I think they already picked a couple up and are wondering what they might be worth.

Unless they've always been properly maintained and stored correctly, 500s have proven to be the MOST TROUBLESOME bikes on this and other forums. Not for inexperienced mechanics, and very few new parts available for repairing anything.

Lots of VF500s for sale cheap cuz the owners gave up trying to get them running right, so beware !!

I picked up a cherry 85 500 last week for 800$. He was asking 1800 then 1500..1200 then after several months I offered 800 and rode it 125 miles home.

More a case of buyers emotions, not to mention the owners knowledge, of coarse conditions plays a part, but like the post above, ya never know. $100-1500 is what I've seen.

Only issue was a dent in one muffler. And I took care of it.

Nice work wands, your Yoshis look different from mine. I wonder if mine are not originally for a vf500.

Idk but I'm on the search for a new badge. Willing to pay up on a clean one like this. I obviously polished it but one that has no flaws
