    Wow plenty of views but no takers so far?

    From this side of the pond I have just been looking at what South Dakota has to offer - wow some great places to visit - http://www.blackhillsbadlands.com/

    Mount Rushmore - Devils Tower (Close Encounters) National Parks and Monuments.

    Sadly I could not make it over again this year (as I will be leading a group over to a Motorbike meeting in South Eastern Switzerland + Stelvio Italy) But September 2017 that could be fun.

    Ski ... you have no idea how amazing the riding is in the Black Hills.

    Devils Tower Monument is a boring AF ride, but the Black Hills is nothing short of amazing. The roads were practically made for these bikes, clear of pebbles, stones and debris, no tar snakes, and no pot holes ... AMAZING!

    Yeah, it's odd that there's been so many views but no takers. Oh well, if not, I'll do my own private little trip there again. :)

    I'd love to go if I could swing it JB! Gonna being doing Ole Mex in Oct/Nov so vacation would be used for that.

    Don't feel let down, as getting VFRW peeps to gather for a ride/event is like herding cats. Maybe send out link in PMs to some folks to ensure that they get it. Especially your fellow Canucks.

    Yeah, unfortunately my September is spoken for already too. I say just make it a plan and post it, periodically bump it if you only get a few nibbles every now and then. Sometimes people don't plan too far ahead and only figure out what they can or want to do closer to the date.

    I read it, google-mapped it and won't have time for the 21+ hour ride each way. would love to do it though.

    Fuggen easterner wussie. I would love to do this ride Jeff except I have an annual weekend ride every second weekend in September that is going on 7 years or so. I have been on every one of them. So not only is time an issue, so is finances.

    But, we will ride those great roads west of Winnipeg along the TCH next summer. Uptum boogie woogie chicken with honey sauce.

    A wussie that only has 4 vacation days left and a family that seems to think I should spend it with them... I should probably tell them about a 2 day ride with a friend planned for early next month....

    I do hope you guys were reading my comments the right way...tongue in cheek. My pipe-dream would be to ride through eastern and central Canada and meet as many of you as I could as I circumnavigate Canada and the USA. But that is a huge pipe-dream. Maybe when the Leafs fight for the Stanley cup, I might just fly out there to watch a game or two. Does Frank Mohavolich still play for the Leafs?

    2017 is shaping up well...

    June - the Saarland Ulysses meet

    July - South Africa & Victoria falls Ulysses meet

    September - Black Hills VFRWorld meet :)

    So does anyone fancy popping over to the Alps in August? Stay at my place and of course like last time the family Pham would be welcome back of course.. You can have the VFR or Triumph for a week on the mountain passes.
