Hey all!! Some of you may remember not so long ago I bought a 5th gen VFR. Unfortunately I had extensive problems with the battery, rectifier then the alarm system and just like that, I fell out of love with it very quickly.

Then I fell in love all over again, with this beauty - Here is my new 08 VFR which I got a pretty good deal on! Only 10k miles, full service history and looking fantastic with her matching Honda luggage for just a shade under 4k from a dealer!!!

I've just fitted her with 02 eliminators and now she is running super smooth, the VTEC on these later models is very refined, I love how it engages at a different rpm (6600) and disengages at 6100. For me this cures that irritating on/off issue I had with my old 03.

All I need to do now is source another seat as this one has been lowered. I may even go for a Sargent before too long anyway.

Thanks for looking! This one is a keeper for sure - Here's to another 100k :party2:

Nice bike. I laughed at the Yamaha sign behind it.

Holy sh*t that's a great deal!! Congrats you win the bang for the buck award for 2016. She's a beauty. That's about what I spent for mine back in September and its an 06' with more miles, came with the givi side bags but no trunk. Oh just noticed are you talking dollars? or pounds?... either way good deal...

haha me too, I couldn't resist that photo :tongue-new:

Thanks very much, I'm very happy!

Cheers mate I couldn't believe it, especially from a reputable dealer too. I'm sure they could of added another grand to that price and still sold it with no problems (it's British pounds by the way):greedy_dollars::greedy_dollars:

Thanks mate, I'm used to Givi stuff but I must admit the Honda luggage on this thing is top quality (I havent ridden in the rain yet though but I presume it's water tight)!

Looks really nice, I got exactly the same one in 2013 same colour with 13 000km on the clocks. Had the Oxford soft pannier bags for a while after scavenging for some time found the Honda Top box and pannier bags for the bike. Has 26 000km on now and me and the wife going on a 12 day road rip with it, enough packing space and comfortable on long road.

    Enjoy...

Good deal. That's a really nice bike for being a decade old. Extra good score with the bags.

I have a Sargent seat on my 5th gen. It's not perfect, but I could never say it isn't very well made. Comfortable enough for long distance, too. If I had to get another seat, I'd get another.
