So ronery up here all by my lonesome .... I know you're out there. I've seen you riding around ....

Sound off if you're in Manitoba so we can organize some rides.

Pretty much. It really sucks ... my two riding buddies ride an R1 and a CBR9292RR, neither of them do long distance, though they've planned a few trips now and had to bail on them.

One works shift work and the other is always busy with other things, so I'm riding solo the majority of the time. I've tried making friends with some other riders but the HD guys look at me like I'm Satan, the sport bike riders look at me like I'm less than them, and the ADV riders are nowhere to be found or usually passing me solo in the other direction on the roads themselves. Lolz.

This is why I usually take these long trips often by myself, which is great on one hand, but on the other it's nice to share memories and stories with other people on that trip.

I can understand why you get strange looks. There used to be a couple guys from the north side of Winnipeg and S. Andrews area belonging to this site but I have not heard hide nor tail of them for quite a while now.

We can all get together for a Winnipegonian Reunion at the St. Charles. Last time I was in there I saw bullet holes in the washroom cubicles.

    Hello Jeff,

I'm the guy with the 5th Gen. you talked to last Sunday up by Stead. I usually go for some rides with that group on the weekends I'm in town. Most summer weekends I'm in Kenora and in the spring and fall I'm on the Goldwing with the wife so that makes for a short VFR season. I'd be up for a ride on Monday if that works. I'm in town this weekend but the wife is already pushing me to switch the plates to the wing cause she wants to come with. PM me.

Next spring I'm taking early retirement and am planning to go through a lot of tires then :smug:

Come on out to the wet coast when you retire. Leave your bushmaster at home. The mosquitoes aren't that bad out here.

Hey Jorg, it was awesome meeting you all the other day. I hadn't thought to give you all my detail until after I left. I'm glad you came and found me here.

My family has a place on Poplar Bay out on LotW.

I'm out of town this weekend and get back on Tuesday night, but let's definitely plan on a get together sometime soon.

Hey. That's just a couple miles from where my parents lived in Pinawa Bay. They had a lake front home. Their was the only site on the bay that had natural sand beach. Everyone else trucked in loads and loads of sand every year. The water action washed it all away while dad just raked up the reads and branches on his.

A lot of fond memories from all our family about that place. Periodically, they would send in a few CF18 Hornets to deal with the horseflies though. Biting blood sucking bastards. Kinda reminds me of Canadian politicians.

Yeah, beautiful country, but how long does it take a prairie boy to grow gills. It's been pretty damp every time I've rode out there, and I'm scairt of riding in the rain.

I have no problem riding in the rain, I do it all the time - I just hate having to stop to haul my rain gear out and put it on. lolzzz

The West coast is beautiful if you catch the weather right.

Well spank me then. I thought it was another Poplar Bay. There is a Poplar Bay on (as opposed ti in) Lac du Bonnet on the north east shore off Prov Hwy 315. That is just a couple miles form Pinawa Bay

My mistake. First time in my life I was wrong and it is your fault.
