I was leaving the gym tonight and this very nice biker/gym-bro asked me if my bike was a Kawi ZX :beguiled: As his punishment for such an egregious mistake he agreed to rev my bike in this quasi-tunnel so I could film a little sound clip. Words cannot describe how awesome it sounded in there!

Crank up the volume and enjoy :listening_headphone

Yeah I was kind of surprised that he thought my bike was a Kawi at first - the guy had an Alpinestar tattoo on his hand but he had absolutely no clue what the VFR was all about. I'm a Kawi fan too though so I didn't take offense - lol

Awe, that's so sad AM. But if I put as many miles on my bike as you do I'd probably opt for something much quieter as well - or just leave the stock can on.

The Euro VFR badges aren't performing as expected, I'd send them back.

They're good for at least 5 hp apiece so I'm keeping them :glee:

BTW, what does "VFR" officially stand for? I used to think it just meant V4. But I noticed on some of the earlier gens that the "R" was either bigger or a different color which makes me think just the "VF" is for the V4 and the "R" is for something else like "race" maybe?

Very nice! Stupid question, but when sitting on the bike with the dual underseat pipes do you get a stereo effect at all or are they not spaced far enough apart for that? I would think that would really add to the listening pleasure for the rider.

I need to go fetch a barf bag for you and NorCalBoy - you guys are getting puke all over my thread - LOL

So tonight I scared the bejesus out of the sweet older lady that cleans up at the gym. She was standing outside waiting for a ride just off the curb that you can see in my vid above and when I started up the Albinogator she almost collapsed and acted like she was having a heart attack for a few seconds - I didn't even give it any throttle. I felt really bad and apologized to her of course. Hmmm...I guess it might be time to put the baffle in.

Bad ass biker almost gives old lady a heart attack
    (Headline in local paper)
Done it to, lady screamed at work, I initially laughed but then apologized and felt bad. Then laughed some more on the way home

Yeah her legs looked like they buckled when the engine started. It really is almost obscenely loud in that tunnel so I could see how it was traumatic for her since she had her back to me when the Albinogator (you like that name, huh? :smile-new: ) was awoken just a few feet behind her. I hope she understood my apology - I've said hello to her when she's walking around wiping down machines in the gym but she doesn't seem to speak any English at all.
