Is there any consensus on the best rack/box combination for a gen6 vfr?

I like the flexibility of the Ventura stuff, but the Givi gear looks a more solid set up.

    Any preferences?

OEM is the way to go....But Givi also a great alternative.
If you have the $$$ go hard bags
On a budget go for soft bags :senor:

I agree with the guy up here ^^. OEM is the best, and you can fit two helmets in there.
Have you considered a tail bag?

I went with GIVI E55 and so far have been really happy with it. It fits two full face helmets and a handful of soft items I.e. Sweatshirt, light jacket, etc. no problem By coincidence GIVI make the OEM stuff for Honda, or did at one time. I think the only caveat is the mounts for OEM and GIVI don't seem to be compatible for mixing and matching components.

Essentially you'd want to go down one road or the other and not try and get OEM for one item and GIVI for the other. Although there might be a way to make them work with one another not having to "work around" it, being able to just bolt on stuff does have its advantages.
