    Hi,
I am trying to remove the windscreen on my 2014 VFR800 so I can replace it.
I've taken out the 2 hex screws below the screen (to the side/above the instrument panel) but it didn't seem to loosen the screen at all.
Anyone know how to properly remove it without doing damage?
    Thanks, I appreciate the help.

    Thanks for the links.
Still having trouble getting the plastic piece above the instruments off to gain access to the other bolts that are holding the windscreen in place.
Do you have to use a lot of force or should it come off easily?
I have tried a bunch of times but I am hesitant to use too much force because I don't want to snap anything.
    Thanks

Fine bladed screwdriver works best once you get one unclipped the rest aren't too bad.

I'm having it tinted/painted black. Couldnt find anyone who sold a tinted screen the exact size of the stock original so I thought I'd give it a try and see how it turns out. I'll post a picture when it's done.

Don't mean to revive an old thread, but I am stumped on this myself.

Currently my bike is in a million pieces (installing upgrades and fixing damage from bike transport) and this is the last bit I need to do. I need to swap my windscreen and replace my mirrors.

I've looked at these photos and read a few threads a million times, but the thing just doesn't want to budge (the upper piece). I'm reluctant to give it some muscle as it just feels like it's going to snap.

Everytimes I read these threads I'm not looking forward to swapping mine out! PowerBronze airflow on the way as well as the Honda Shop Manual in the hopes I can follow along.

I can't seem to find any pictures of the underside. I know I've seen some somewhere where someone also had also put coloured arrows, etc.

TBH...I must be missing something to see how "easy" it is for some folks.

I have both of my plastics off (left and right - installing other accessories, etc) and can't see how it could be done without it that way. The coloured pieces on the side would never come out, had I not been able to get my hands on them. The 5 clips up top were also laughable. If I wasn't being careful with my "pry-tools" I would have seriously F'd up the plastic.

Long story short, it's done...but what a PITA. Love to see someone make a video of this so called 5 minute removal, LOL...

I have the Honda Repair Manual on it's way (was actually returned to Helm so they are sending me another). Hopefully that is detailed enough. If I have the time I will try to film it, but not sure if I will do a good job of this. But it seems like it's needed. I will do my best.
