    Free'dom

The "deal" is not just for a Mail Order Pass. Its Free to drive up to Any National Park.
    Free ALL year.
I picked up our "free" Pass at the gate Friday, went Skiing to Sunshine (Banffff).
    Was a Stunning day.

The Online system is dodgy, often overloaded.
I tried to order a Pass Online, Last Year,,.. never showed up.

If you get Caught, in The Parks, without a Pass, you will be Given One (Beauty, eh!).

Many are complaining, that the Feds are spending a ton to mail Passes out, when they can just be picked up at the gate for nothing.
It does save on waiting In Line on busy days.
And how many Mail-Outs will actually see The Parks?

The New York Times said Everybody in The World should go see Banff this summer,,..
Our Parks aren't that big (for Tourists that never get off the pavement), its gonna be a Zoo.

Note: This applies to National Parks.
Not sure what the story is for Provincial Parks.
This pass is absolutely Free for Foreigners, but every Kanuck Taxpayer is still paying.

I'll pick up a few more, to give away to Visitors (Right, O!A.M !).

I read that when they first announced it that the servers were crashing but I had no problem this morning. Yep you have to take a walk and get away from the crowds. No problem if you start out early.

I wouldn't bother with the ordering an on line pass. Just show up to the gate and they will give you one. They did that to me last summer when we travelled through Riding Mountain with the fifth wheel. They gave us a two year pass for the price of the 2016 season.

If you do Banff, you should also do Kananaskis Provincial Park which adjoins Banff. It is spectacular and I think use of the park is free. Facilities are expensive though. I worked security there for the G7 conference about 15 or so years ago. There were anti aircraft weapons tucked away in the bushed there that n one could see unless they knew exactly where they were. When we left there, there was absolutely no footprint left.

I was charged by a big Jesus ram with its head down and about to send me into the next dimension. I don't think I would have gotten up off the ground if that charge was successful.

Souvenirs. Gotcha. Just this morning I was looking in my closet and again looked at an Olympic Hockey Jersey from Vancouver 2010. You remember that one? That was one of Team USA's many silver medals in Hockey. Anyways, it has hung there ever since and never worn. So guess what I am wearing now. Wear it or it will become landfill material.

I think I will go into a local office supply shop with my pass and get a sticker made like it for the bike. You really can't hang a mirror tag on the bike and expect it to be there when you come back.

I ordered mine some time ago. It seems like last summer, but I'm sure it was just a couple months ago. I did it for the same reason as you, Gator. Fun to get anticipated trip mail. I remeber when zoom-zoom sent maps for last summer. Can't beat trip planning!

Speaking of...VF1000Fe, saw your email today. Getting excited!! Woot!!
