Has anyone tried a Power Commander or Rapid Bike Eco remapping on their 8th gen?

The Rapid Bike unit looks very interesting and gets a good review in MCN on a Kawasaki .... just not heard anything about them

Do you mean Rapid Bike Evo? I wouldn't bother with the Evo module, I would go with the Racing instead.

    Yes sorry the Evo .....

I can understand choosing the best option, I just don't know if it'll make that much difference to my viffer, only put the Akrapovic end can on, no baffle as I live in the boonies

However as its your company can you explain why?

If you've already done this just point me that way ....

Kudos on supporting the owners site:thumb:

Rapid bike is not my company, I just put together the group buy for the VFR800.

The Evo module is just fuel tuning only, like a power commander, but with built in closed loop fuel tuning.

The racing module is fuel plus ignition timing, among other features. Being that vfrs were designed to run on regular fuel and pass strict emissions standards, they benefit greatly from ignition tuning for premium fuel.

You can expect noticable gains in torque from 2500-8000 RPMs with the race module. Don't get me wrong, the Evo module is a nice product, but the vfr800 responds very well to the racing module.

First I'm hearing about this race module. Do you have dynos or anything that show the increase? Links about the product? What does it change and will the bike require a different grade of fuel after this? Always looking for a few extra ponies.

I found the company, DimSport, on the Internet selling the kits.

But they don't stock anything listed for Honda at all.

    What type should I order?
