Can anyone recommend a license plate eliminator for a 2014 VFR800. Not sure If I am using the right words here. Basically I want to remove the full drop where the license plate hangs and have a more low profile one. I've looked around but I cannot find anything. Maybe my terminology is off or something.

There's aa member on the forum that makes them. I believe he's in Australia or maybe it's New Zealand. There should be a thread on the subject. It would be called a "Fender Elimintor" if you need a topic to search for.

AS neat as those fender eliminators look, if you are one to ride in the rain, do not go for them. You get filthy from the mud and road shit that sprays up your back. Of course of you don't ride in rain, go for it.

I cut my OEM fender so that it terminates behind the licence plate. I have regretted that ever since my first ride in the rain which I used to do more than in the sun when I was still working.

Then again, if you are removing a fender and replacing it with an eliminator, you can always put the proper fender back on. Just don't throw it in the trash.

If what you are looking for is just a plate holder, try here for a shitload of same. Fender eliminators look cool at bike nights but suck as being efficient.

Best to check your state regs for plate display. Lighted plates being mandatory in most states and possibly the plate may have to be displayed horizontally. (??).

Close is many times good enough. One could say almost anything and get a suitable response to modifying the manner in which a license plate is mounted.

One could also say that most here like their tail tidy.
