    I am so damned ready.

I have to say. With all the jabbing I have been handing out in the past about people in the colder areas about their problems and bitching about the weather, I find myself eating a little crow. I am so ready for this shit to go away for good for this year and get back out on the road and ride.

This was just after Christmas 2016.
    [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

We even had to clear a spot in the back yard for the dog to go for a pee
    [IMG]

This all melted and I thought we were well on our way to some riding. I did get out on the bike a couple times to run some errands, but nothing too long or too far. I have the gear to stay warm and dry but I can't be bothered to suit up that much for a casual ride so I just rode when it was reasonable. But none the less, winter is over. Right?

I couldn't have been more wrong. Starting just three days ago on Friday Feb 3, 2017. This is the neighbour across the street after one night of blowing snow. The drifting off the roof produced some really cool snow curls.

Our back yard. That canopy that I had installed several years ago by a long ago active member here Chomper, has held up very well. No signs at all of the weight even having an effect on the canopy. Again, the snow curls are cool. This Blue Spruce in my back yard has almost turned into a snow ghost. Skiers will know what those are. The fence to the left of that tree is five feet high.
    [IMG] [IMG]

My front door. It would be quite the shocker if that let go while I was shoveling the steps. [IMG]
The wind was coming over my roof, bounced off the next door neighbours house and then bounced off the ground and right up into the range top vent that is just hidden by the bump out on my house. It plugged the 5 inch vent pipe totally and was melting and dripping water on our stove. I had to get a ladder and stand on it below that snow curl way up on the roof of the second floor to stuff rags into the vent so that we could stop the snow water and cold getting into the kitchen. I was all too aware that that snow curl could fall on my head at any time.

This is the rear canopy looking out the breakfast nook. So cool!

But I am so ready for this stuff to be gone for good. I have spent about 2 hours every day since this started shoveling snow. Believe it or not, I do like shoveling snow but ENOUGHTALLFUCKINGREADY!

It is now time to start thinking nice thoughts. Someone is feeling neglected
    [IMG]

ATGATT sometimes has a different meaning. To think. In the past, I would have been commuting 100 miles round trip every day to work at this time of the year.

Those are some great photos and words Randy. I feel for you and your need for speed (in a socially responsible manner).

By way of a contrast, just last weekend, I took the screen off my ST1100 before riding, because on my previous ride I was getting too damned hot!

Based on the overhead snow hazard, I hope it is Snell-rated!

We have a cliche here in New England, "If you don't like the weather...wait a minute. It'll change." Today snow, sleet, freezing rain. Tomorrow morning rain, afternoon sunny & 50-55 depending on your area. Thursday's forecast is calling for 8-14" of snow.

    I feel your pain Randy.

I don't know how you people put up with shit(weather)! And sure, GatorGreg has some good weather down in Gator land, but no mountains, and I understand that the most cornering fun you have down there is freeway on/off ramps!:eagerness::witless: We have some nice weather, and some nice ridin roads out here in Kalifornia......but, we got a lot of Kooky Kalifornians to put up with too. It's always something!

I feel for you Randy, here in Southern Ontario we just assume that BC gets the nice weather. We had freezing rain all of yesterday but Saturday it's supposed to get up to 6 degrees. If I can get from the garage to the road I might just have to go for a ride.

Zombie, did you choose that screen name because you froze to death? Seriously, 6 degrees! If I lived where it warmed "up" to 6 degrees my garage queen RWB would be in the living room with me with a blanket wrapped around her! Ya, you can do that kind of thing when your single. Lol. Hope that it warms up much more than that soon for you all there in the great white north.

Just the Fraser Valley and Vancouver Island of BC gets the milder winters....Usually. The rest of the province is cold.

It's a nickname from many years ago that just stuck.
Keep in mind that for Canadians, 6 degrees would be in Celsius, about 42 Fahrenheit.
I don't store my bike, it's in the garage but if the roads are clean I try to get out as much as I can in the winter.
