I am looking at picking up a 2006 VFR800 non-ABS. The guy says that the turn signal fuse keeps blowing and that this is a know issue on these bikes. He also says there is a fix on this forum. I have not heard of this issue and can't seem to find anything on it. I go to look at the bike on Saturday morning, having info before then would be great.

Can anyone shead some light on this issue? Thanks.

Yep I have had that issue before but could not find the appropriate fluid locally. Had to get it from Europe.

200,000 km on my 2006 and I have never blown a signal light fuse. A few friends of mine here also had 6th gen VFRs and never had an issue. This guy is full of shit. There is no known issue I am aware of. There is something wrong and either your time to make the repair is reflected in the price, or he fixes it for you. I would go for the former as he is likely just to replace the fuse and then you are left with the issue.

Play dumb and tell him it concerns you and to knock some money off the price since you are unsure how to fix it. Use it to your advantage when negotiating.
