This topic reminds me of the dog that always chases the bus down the street but when it finally catches it, the dog doesn't know what to do with it. VFR's are pretty good at what they are capable of doing. Rider skills and improvement are seldom discussed. ; )

Before this thread becomes contentious with alternative facts aboot fashion, oil, tires and red paint, we should all be made aware of the June opening of " Chuck Norris vs Godzilla". Never before in the history of motion picture films and Utube vids have two equal acting talents come together in one film.

Be part of history being made. Next June.

SOOOO long of a wait that we are very skeptical. The only thing that caught my eye was it is there 70 year anniversary.

Maybe if it was the 75th anniversary of Honda Racing...which has a ways to go still. I can't see a company doing a big blowout release for a 70 year anniversary, it's always the 25, 50, 75, and 100 year milestones.

I had a dream that both Gator and BB were correct! In my dream Honda released their new VFR Superbike in honor of their 70th anniversary and it was so dominating and fearsome on both the road and track that it was quickly nicknamed "Godzilla" by the motoring press just like the Nissan GT-R :witless: In my dream it spit fire out the exhaust, did the 1/4 mile in under 9 seconds, hugged the road like a Japanese bullet train, and had self-cancelling turn signals. It was priced at under $25,000 but if you opt for the free Factory Delivery option it comes with a Geisha massage. Its name? The Honda GDZ70VFR1000RRR :glee:

It would be interesting but rider skill is subjective in print. Not so subjective on a twisty road.

Just to create more chaos, if more people would redline their VFR's in every gear on a straight road now and then, they might not crave more horsepower. A VFR will get up and go with it's measly "whatever it really is" horsepower. It's pretty obvious that an awful lot of people don't ride theirs hard at all with the tire life they get. That's prolly a good thing.
