......Under your helmet , IF? Being one I've missed place a majority of my hair over time. I find wearing a buff prior to slipping the lid on a good thing. First off, this keeps my sweaty noggin from pitting out the helmet liner. Plus on the cooler outings this item aids a warming touch for those cool days. On some occasions it also helps in noise abatement. Just curious what others my use for a helmet liner, if.

In cold weather I wear a Turtle Fur Shellaclava (basically a combined balaclava and neck-warmer). It works well to keep the cold air off my neck and chin, and keeps the wind noise down so much I almost wish I could wear it warmer weather. It's got a real thin balaclava portion, so it doesn't make the helmet feel significantly smaller, and helps to keep the neck warmer snug against the bottom of the helmet.

In the cold, I wear a Freeze Out balaclava. It keeps my neck from freezing. I'm still looking for a good beanie type thing for summer. The Cycle Gear Bilt thing cuts into my forehead. Any suggestions?

When I rode in the cold on the highway, I wore a motorcycle specific balaclava. They are different that others in that they have a longer bib so it keep the neck nice and warm. Mine also has a formed mouth and nose area so that makes the fit so much better than say a hiking or plain winter balaclava.

In the summer, I have tried wearing an Under armour beanie more to keep my hair from being forced down into may face. But I found that to be a pain in the ass so stopped that. Also lost a couple of those when puling the helmet off. So really now, I don't wear anything. I still have the balaclava. Matter of fact, it is brand new but 5 years old. Bought it just before retirement.

Kerist!. It has been 5 years since I retired!

I don't cut my hair it's very long. Sometimes I braid it. Other times I just let it go. It covers my back when I'm riding (with a helmet of course). I don't like my fellow riders seeing my jacket with the bar and shield on the back.

Not real warm but a tinfoil liner protects me from thought messages from alien harleydoods. They are everywhere. Even in Canada.

Are those beanies with the little propellers still available?

I never figured out why somebody couldn't miniaturize a RAT (ram air turbine) as found on many jet aircraft that are deployed when hydraulic and electrical systems fail. One on top of a crash helmet would not only look very cool but could act as a power supply when a R/R craps out or running some of those cool neon lights that are fancied by some. One could also power a shitload of LEDs.

I have a thin beanie or a bandana. It's easier to wash than the liner :)

The helmet covers my head. So, commando here also.
I like a neck gator, thick for cold thin for warm.
Keeps bees and stuff off my neck.

For cold weather, I wear a Dainese Wind stopper balaclava. Combined with my long sleeve turtle neck under shirt, I stay really warm. What I like about this model, the base of the balaclava extends way below the neck line and helps keep the cold air from hitting the chest in addition to the chin and face.

I find my sweatvac ventilator caps very comfortable. Provides good airflow and protects the helmet liner.
