I finally got around to it, I had to change my brake line, clutch line, and throttle cables which were all an additional 3 inches. I also added a voltage meter. In photo 5 it shows a bracket I had to fabricate, which goes from the flexible brake line to a hard brake line on the ABS equipped bike. I have to say I'm much more comfortable in my new riding position.

Nice job. I moved a few of the stock lines and got mine fairly high. The height you have them looks like it would be even more omfortable. Did you buy lines from Convertiars or sorce them elsewhere? I'm going to get around to doing this one day. So easy to drop them down for some fun mountain twisties.

Convertibars outsourced them to another company. I know this because I had to measure and photograph my brake line for the guy. He called me and provided the end and clip, so I could make a bracket.

So you went through Convertibars but had to talk to their vendor? Do you have the lengths they supplied?

    Thanks.

I had to take a measurement of the brake line for the guy. For an ABS model 2006 it was approximately 14" long. So he made a brake line 17" long for me. The clutch line I'm sorry to say I have no data on it. I photographed the throttle line packages for you, if that helps. Maybe you can save some money having the lines made directly. I'm sorry I didn't measure the clutch line. IMG_3736.jpg IMG_3739.jpg IMG_3740.jpg

just a fyi, the st1300 has the same ends as a vfr and 3 inches or so longer. I have them on my bike works great and have Honda quality and are off the shelve parts when replacements are needed.
I have apex riser bars on mine, though not as tall as these they are very good

They are adjustable on the ike and very quick too. Just about any angle or position you want. Kind of perfect for a sport touring bike, best of both worlds like tthe ike. Some guys run them on dedicated track bikes getting them in just the right place.

I have. I like the more upright ergonomics. Did a little over 200 miles today. It was sweet. Though I'm now going to have to start another thread. I let someone from my group pass me today and as I did I boxed myself into going into a pothole in the road. I've a pretty good dent in the rear rim. No airloss, but a nice sized flat spot. Do I need a new rim or a repair? :p

How much did the whole set-up cost if I may ask? I sold my VFR because when I priced out all of these parts I couldn't justify the cost. The bike was killing my arthritic wrists.

Does this allow the brake and clutch master cylinders to be rotated forward more? I'm looking to increase the downward angle of both levers.

It's expensive! $340 for the bars, maybe another $260 for all the lines and new bar ends, new grips. I was seriously thinking of switching to a BMW r1200GS or RT. This is cheaper and I get to keep my VFR. See this link for more information.www.convertibars.com

Yes, you can rotate them where ever you want. I actually received 1/2" spacers for the clutch and Brake cylinders, Convertibars sent them for free because he delayed sending out my stuff due to an email problem. I needed longer bolts to attach them. You can see this in picture 2,3, & 4.
