    Old O-Rings

No, not that kind. The kind that keeps coolant inside your engine. Having bought my 15-K mile, well-maintained '00, I set out to refresh consumables, like rubber parts, fluids, etc. That meant getting inside the V to replace thermostat and various coolant o-rings. Well, this is what they looked like:

It's $2-part-failure-in-desert-prevention engineering. Only weird gum was keeping coolant inside; the rings were brittle.

Thermostat o-ring not so bad, old one on top:

    Always keep your V clean:

Rubber intake manifolds were perfect, as were the hoses. OE parts--high quality stuff.

Next, brake caliper rebuilds and installation of HEL stainless braided brake lines and Daugherty suspension, once wheels return from powder coating.

As always with Hondas, the engineering and build quality are gorgeous. Seeing it up close makes me not want to futz too much with what these bright minds wrought.

Check with AurtoZone, they have a whole box of metric O-rings for like $7. Used them to fix my fuel tubes on the 83 carbs.
