Options for riding with spastic diarrhea? (don't open if squeamish)

Hey all, this is actually a serious question :glee:

I've got the G3 ride in St. Augustine coming up this Saturday (see link in my sig for details) and I am NOT gonna miss it! However, I've been suffering from spastic diarrhea the last 3 days after coming back on Monday from a trip to New Orleans - I think I got food poisoning from some seafood I ate out there (I had BBQ shrimp and grits for breakfast right before I left). Given the demographics of VFR riders I figure there's gotta be a few older gents on here that have some experience with adult diapers and riding. I'm wondering if those adult diapers are adequate to protect me if I suffer an incident while riding? When the spastic diarrhea hits I only have about 45 seconds to get to the bathroom before the ugliness occurs :beguiled: I'm gonna go see an urgent care doctor this afternoon so hopefully I"ll be cured by Saturday but just in case I figured I'd ask for some recommendations.

 

Is it April first?

 

LOL - I had a projectile vomit issue on Monday. I feel fortunate to just be left with spastic diarrhea to deal with! Now if you'll please excuse me I have to "run" :beguiled:

 

You're unfortunately without boundaries, and a member of that globally loathed species of creatures, the class-less American, AKA an ugly American in Europe. You remind me of Frank on Shameless. Do you ever think about what it is you're posting? No self-editor? None?

 

If you're being totally serious, why not try wearing some while at home. At least this way you're only a few steps away from the shower if things get a little to messy. Life is what happens when you make riding plans, sometime it gets in the way of having fun. Good luck!

This is a good idea - I'll pick some up at the store when I get my meds. I wonder how many I can fit under the rear seat cowl? I guess it would "depend" :glee:

Greg, maybe try some Immodium? Or, from what all my service buddies tell me, maybe go on an MRE only diet... haha

That's some serious shiet-- all joking aside I have dealt with UC since my 20's and found this helps dramatically and I'm sure it will help you with your problem
