Seems to me as the bike shifts better in the morning when it is 15-20 degrees cooler. Is this indicative of something or just me enjoying the ride to work more? :love-struck: Mostly upshifting is positive and always hits in the morning. On the way home i have to concentrate more and exaggerate the shift to make sure it goes in. Way more likely to hit neutral instead of second. Not sure when/if the hydraulic clutch has been flushed. (manual says no service needed which i find unlikely) My '13 dirtbike was looking pretty dirty last weekend when working on that.
I get the same thing, but I attribute it to my own fatigue. Yesterday, for example, I rode the 5th Gen from Denver to Colorado Springs and back (to watch the Air Force Thunderbirds do a show over the Air Force Academy graduation and to have lunch). All the way down to the Academy and back with perfect shifts every time only to accidentally find neutral twice during the last mile of the return trip as I made my way through the neighborhood streets.
Just changed it this past weekend. Used that Pro Honda GN4 Used another good quality oil last time and (thought) i noticed the same thing. Not sure. *UPDATE: Must just be me as i don't notice that anymore. Now i notice something on downshifting once in awhile. Need more than usual pressure to downshift. It's weird because i'll start off fine then all of a sudden when i go to downshift it doesn't when i think it should...I have to step down a little harder. Will last for a few miles then seems to be fine. Small part of me thinks i'm being hyper sensitive to something that isn't there.
