starter valve sync vs. valves adjustment?

    please,

    what is(are) the starter valve(s)? what is it used for? has it something to do with classical valves adjustments? does VFR VTEC need both? at which intervals?

    btw: don't kill me for the stupid question.

    The starter valves are for the fuel system. kind of like having carbs sync done on a bike..If the starter valves are not set properly the bike will run rough .It is part of the throttle body assembly.

    The "valves in the engine" are to be checked /adjusted at 16,000 and 32,000 mile marks...
