All the more reason to call them up to remind them that your expert services remain at their disposal. Especially if they really want to know what the VFR community thinks. We will back you up with a petition right here on the site!

    Whata ya think of that?

Yah well if they did bring it here the sticker price would probably knock you off your chair. I hope they do bring it because I just want to be included and I think we deserve the attention.

10.5K UK pounds, official price. I'd bet $11.5K US if it was coming over here. I'd like one but I don't think it's ever coming to NA.

After reading through all the comments of likes and dislikes, it reminded me of a story...

An old man, a boy and a donkey were going to town. The boy rode on the donkey and the old man walked. As they went along they passed some people who remarked it was a shame the old man was walking and the boy was riding. The man and boy thought maybe the critics were right, so they changed. Later, they passed some people that remarked, what a shame, he makes that little boy walk. They then decided they both would walk. Soon they passed some more people who thought they were stupid to walk when they had a decent donkey to ride. So they decided to both ride the donkey. Now they passed some people that shamed them by saying how awful to put such a load on a poor donkey. The boy and old man decided that the people were probably right, so they decided to carry the donkey. As they crossed a bridge, they lost their grip on the donkey and it fell into the river and drowned. Moral of the story? If you try to please everyone, you might as well kiss your ass good-bye.

You can't successfully make a bike be all things to all people. If you could, there would be one motorcycle company making one model of motorcycle. We VFR riders are never going to fully agree on what the VFR should or should not have, because we all have different needs and wants. There are things I love about my 6th gen and things I'm not crazy about. But it's a damn good all rounder for my needs.
Now I'll get off my soap box and head to the dealer to buy my new amphibious hyper-moto-dual-sport-touring commuter bike that gets 100mpg, has 500hp, costs $1000 and massages my nuts while I ride.:potstir:

Even if it is, I hope it will come here. Someone else can pay that crazy price and then I'll pick it up used a couple of years later. ;)

Just announced by Honda on 2/4/14...It IS coming to the US!!!! It will be the 2014 VFR800F Interceptor. Comes in 2 versions..regular-$12499.00 and deluxe-$13499.00. Deluxe adds abs, traction control, grip heaters, center stand, and self canceling turn signals. It appears they will be officially calling it Interceptor, but it still has a model ID of VFR800F. Looks like it will be available in red or white.

Thats funny, why then doesn't the new Sport Rider with listings of all new models not have the VFR800? It does have the 1200 only----hum

Not sure, but it shows on powersports.honda.com and is listed like it's available here. There's no asterisk beside the name or anything.

I just wish Honda would put as much effort into the 800 as they did the 1200. They've been milking the basics of this powerplant for how long now? Throw in some V-Tec here, move the exhaust around a bit, ooohh dress it up with ABS. can argue all day about gear driven cams and dumb stuff. I would just like to see it evolve. Something as significant as the jump from the VF to the VFR was.

You and everybody else. There's one problem with that, I see, it would encroach on the VFR1200 arena. The only way I would think is to get the 1200 in the arena of what the Blackbird became. A Grand Touring sport machine. Then the 800 can become the SuperSport touring machine. Keep all the stuff the deluxe 14 (except VTec) has and give it at least 125hp at the rear wheel. It would make for a great one up sport touring bike. Be able to throw it around some, power for any situation and be comfortable enough for 500 mile days back to back. JMO

Throw a little blue in there, put it all on one bike and it becomes a strong maybe for me.

the boys retracted a little bit when I saw the price...

I love it. Im with demon pig i will wait a couple years and find one for half price. Honda may not have been listening about the 1000cc but it did listen to the protest of the butt ugly 1200 and brought back a ( if possible) better looking 5th gen styling. I love it.
