It might just be time for MM to win one. But I don't see Pedro ahead of Dovi.

How is it that Karel Abraham is .102 off of MM's time (1.39.778)?! I know it's early in the testing but a lot of the traditional front runners aren't at the front... Let's see how the remaining FPs and qualifying goes.

It looks like the weather for Sunday should be fine, but tomorrow is rainy and very windy.

Rain that was forecast for Saturday duly arrived as MotoGP FP3 neared its conclusion in Argentina, robbing the likes of Dani Pedrosa, Jorge Lorenzo, Andrea Dovizioso and Valentino Rossi of the chance to break into the top ten.

The track was dry for the opening half hour, giving riders ample opportunity to improve on their Friday times. However they chose to save their soft tyres until the end of the session and Cal Crutchlow (medium tyres) was the only early improver already inside the top 10.

Crutchlow narrowly placed ahead of weekend pace setter Maverick Viñales at the end of the 45 minutes, the pair the only men lapping in the 1m 39s, while third placed Pedrosa, half a second back, did not improve sufficiently to break the overall free practice top ten.

Likewise, Dovizioso (eighth in FP3 but 14th overall) Rossi (twelfth in FP3 but 17th overall) and Lorenzo (14th in FP3 but 18th overall) were stranded down the order, meaning this afternoon's Q1 will contain extra spice.

yep hes looking good but was under conditions he is excellent in. If he gets away at the front he will probably win. Maverick is going to have to work his way past Karl and Cal. Should be a fun race.

I"m not sure about your picks of Pedro, Dovi and crazy Joe, they have their work cut out for them. MM though is a good bet along with Rossi.

Marc Marquez snatched pole in Argentina by a comfortable seventh-tenths from the sensational Karel Abraham, who clinched his best-ever premier class qualifying position in difficult conditions.

On a wet and drying track, Repsol Honda rider Marquez lapped in 1m 47.512s to take the stop spot at the Termas de Rio Hondo circuit from Czech rider Abraham on the Aspar Ducati GP15, who narrowly edged Cal Crutchlow for second place.

British rider Crutchlow was only 0.003s behind Abraham as he rounds out the front row on the LCR Honda.

Row two will be headed up by Italy's Danilo Petrucci on the Octo Pramac Ducati, who was 1.3 seconds off the pace off Marquez, while Dani Pedrosa slots into fifth place.

Repsol Honda rider Pedrosa joined Valentino Rossi in Q1 and finished fastest on the RCV with a flying late lap to top the session, securing his place along with The Doctor in Q2.

Championship leader Maverick Vinales was sixth fastest on the Movistar Yamaha, bringing an end to his run of time-sheet topping performances during the winter tests and the opening round of the series in Qatar.

Vinales' best lap in 1m 49.218s was 1.7s slower than Marquez as the Spaniard narrowly held off team-mate Rossi, who starts from row three in seventh place. The 38-year-old is joined by Gresini Aprilia's Aleix Espargaro and Loris Baz on the Avintia Ducati, who had held a provisional front row place earlier in Q2 when conditions were much wetter.

Alvaro Bautista completed the top ten on the Aspar Ducati GP16 to lead row four, with Jonas Folger the top rookie on the Monster Yamaha Tech 3 in 11th and Andrea Iannone 12th on the Ecstar Suzuki.

Jorge Lorenzo struggled on the factory Ducati as he finished 16th fastest behind Scott Redding (Octo Pramac Ducati). Lorenzo's team-mate, Andrea Dovizioso, has work to do from 13th on the GP17, while rookie Johann Zarco (Monster Yamaha Tech 3) was 14th quickest on the satellite M1.

i'm not either...don't think Rossi will see the podium, he shouldn't have seen it Qatar and appears to be genuinely struggling, now matter how much of a Sunday guy he is.

Gotta say a lot different outcome than I was anticipating but seems par for the course for both Yamaha and Honda. Kudos to the Tech 3 riders!
