While I was at the INDY Moto GP race, the Honda tent had a 2009 Interceptor #0001.
First time I ever saw #1. There was another with I think #00017. It's true that the first runs get pulled for the things like the traveling displays, etc. I bumped into a guy with an extremely low # BMW R1100S with a small plaque on it. He worked for the BMW auto division and somehow bought that one directly from the manufacturer. They used it for press and kept it in a crate for several years in their warehouse. He inquired about it and they sold it to him. A really impressive bike with special paint etc. I lean toward @ 1000 to 2000 examples of the RWB made. I saw one at the Indiana State Fairgrounds parked with white hard cases on Saturday nite during the Grand National Dirt Track races. I don't see very many. My dealer in Weston FL still has a few left, one or two with white wheels! They call it the Freddie Spencer Special. Awesome!!!! |

I got my RWB a month ago from Fort Lauderdale, FL.
Still two on the floor, I abs. I think VFR is overengeniered bike, like VTX1800 and not many people has any idea what kind of jewels VFR or VTX1800 are. Honda is making more VTX1300 that sound more like a HD, for bikers wona be. Other bike cheaper to make. I did not know about VFR before I got on this forum. After that it was all over for my VTX1800 we start having marrital problems and I trade her for RWB with nasty temper, after 6000 PM RPM. Gino ![]() |

I ordered and picked up RWB non ABS # 1010. Has about 150 miles so far. Kicked in VTEC a few times, not the best idea that Honda has had. Still not a bad bike. I bought it purely for the paint scheme.

Funny you say that. Back in '99 I bought a brand new 5th Gen. Then the 6th Gen came out in 2002. I liked it, but was content with the '99. Then when the RWB came out, that sealed the deal. I was no doubt motivated to buy based on the color scheme. I'm glad I did as I really do like the bike - VTEC and all. Besides, the RWB goes good with my 1986 collection.

I got # 901376 here, but I don't think they were issued consecutive serial # by Honda. Just the VIN of each one in the VFR sequence as they were built.. Bought it as a left over in September 2008.

Currently for sale in The Netherlands on our local web an anniversary model.
Honda VFR 800 Vtec ABS 25 th anniversary 16000 Km Language on the website is Dutch but I'll guess you can figure out the main. Reason is that I like to know a bit more about this the colorscheme as I like it after I saw a real one a few weeks ago in the Salt Lake area while cruisin around Park City. After reading the 11 pages I think some facts mentioned in the advertisment are wrong telling me its probably a repainted fake one. Weird story is that the advertisment tells it is a 2003 model with only 16000km on the odo. Asuming it is a real one it should have miles instead of KM. Besides that it got Leo Vincy mufflers, Ohlins springs. My own VTEC (silver) is fitted with Showa so maybe its modified. Hopefully a reply from the seller will bring some light in this VFR. I'm aware of the VIN/production numbers concerning this special production. I'll keep ya posted. |

Hey motorhead. Whats with the "VFR" Letters in the red stripe above "Honda" on the lower side panel? Did you add that? That's the first one I've seen like that.
