Need help with Laser exhaust
I purchased a Laser exhaust from Foster RAD and it does not fit correctly. They have blown me off and to make a long story short I am trying to figure out which part is flawed.I would like to find a member in California that has one that could give me a hand with a comparison of the suspect parts (I think it is in the Y or the right pipe off the Y) so I have to cut and weld as little as possible.Maybe even some good pics will help me decide where to mod the pipes. Thanks.

A cluster fuck
I had two of my guys come by tonight that do custom welding and fab and they both wanted to find out what part is flawed as it is a cluster fuck of parts. They are willing to cut it up and make it fit but we agree that it would be best to figure out where the flaw is and repair that.

I'm glad you are getting some support somewhere along the line. Hopefully Laser will square you away, and I bet that they will since they got ahold of you.
Tell them to hurry up. I'm waiting for you to get that all put together so that I can finally get my hands on a quality sound clip from the Lasers other than just an idle. |

I got my Lasers from pipecity.com. No issues installing them, as with any dual exhaust system (in my experience) they are not perfectly symmetrical, but the difference is not noticeable at all. I'm sure I could tweak a little here and there to make them perfect but like I said, the difference is not noticeable.
Definitely work with Laser though. The place you bought them from doesn't care, not their problem. But Laser should stand by their product and work with you to get pipes that fit. I do recall having to use some washers, maybe a longer bolt too, to get them positioned better.

Wow fitment is better then i had thought j/k. I had similar fitment issues with my LV but after tinkering with pipe layout for a couple of hours i got them close enough to perfect.

![]() ![]() ![]() And the left side... ![]() Sorry it took so long. There must be a flaw in the bend of your pipes. There isn't a lot of room for error and the only corrections I had to make were different number of washers in the hangers to make the pipes symmetrical on both sides. The angles still aren't exact as far as up/down but its minimal. Hope this helps. Let me know if you need more. Oh and don't mind the dirt...or the spider. Contrary to the pics I do ride the bike, but usually only when it rains or below 50 degrees.

If I get stuck with this thing your pic's are very helpful. It would have to be the left side pipe and not the Y pipe from looking at you pic's. The one I have points into the right side pipe just above the first bend and the one on you bike has a much more mild bend to it . If my Laser nightmare gets to the point where I cut and tig it to fit this is gonna help alot. Thanks.
