Quite possible that someone in that thread has used an image in one of the posts, and that image has been moved to an area on the 'net that is now password protected.

Just checked that, didn't seem to find a match from an image to the funky forum listed. Only happens on that thread though, you may be right.

The problem is in post #5, with this code linking to that site: img src="http://forums.gt-thetachi.org/forum_images/gallery_10463_2879_1708075.jpg" border="0" alt="" /
This will be a forum that the poster is a member of, but that only allows members to see the pictures, or to log on, one or the other. Hence the authentication link when another site requests the data.
