Can a 4 gen wheelie??

Im not much for wheelies unless its a power wheelie over a nice road hump but I like to watch them anyways :

Yeah, I have attempted it a couple of times, but looking at how unstable it appears to wheelie...


Makes me want to reconsider it.

I'm assuming he's dumping the clutch to get it up, since mine won't even lift the front wheel with a sudden acceleration...

Yea it will, but IMO it's a waste of time I'd rather be going forward in a hurry rather than wondering if the front comes up or not. I don't worry about it. yea it will if I want to make sure I do it all right clutch action throttle and the like, but like I said I just get it done that gets me moving forwards as quick as possible.

yep it will pull a wheelie?? i did one by accident... on the vfr..... i was just playin with it just after stepdad got it and i rommped on it.. (( i was comming from a 600 F2 )) didnt expect to get power that low

It dose not surprise me that the person in the video could ride a wheelie, all throw he is all over the place and shooting around moving car is not good, it shows his riding inexperience and subtilty. any ways wheelies can be fun but theres a time and place for everything.

sure they do but since its desserted you never see them lol.. a pit bike 50cc will wheelie.... you just got to know how. best way gas up to about 15mph hard acceleration,, then let off right away ,,then let forks compress,, then slide to back of seat and gas it wide open again with a pull on the bars and should be able to wheelie no prob.. clutching it is also a way i dont recomend it until you learn a little first becuase it can come up abruptly and put you on your backside.i have a rwb 07 and it wheelies no problem also have done the power wheelie over a bump in rode clicked into second and kept going no prob. but as squirrel says practice in a desserted parking lot first then one day you will be riding them down the highway making squirrel jealous....................who knows maybe some chick will follow you in a silver m3 saying she loves you...

Id love to buy a beet up gixer just so I could abuse it in the local parking lots and pratice. I really dont have any desire to pull my front wheel more than a foot off the ground on hill crest or rail road tracks....Im with RVFR, 2 wheels and acceleration ...

haha...saw this thread right before I left for work so as I was leaving my house I thought I would try the "gun it to 15mph,.. Immediatly let off the throttle then gun it wide open!" Well I did this and my front end started to lift off the ground...quickly ran out of road though so it was a short affair. Was fun though.

Honestly the only thing that worries me about wheeling is that if i panic or something and I dont keep the wheel straight when I bring it back down...i will more than likely crash.

lol kinda like i've done that before ..To put the front tire back down depending how high your front wheel is example to ride it through the first 3-4 gears sitting down you will most likely have to look to the side of your dash to see where you are going, if you are that high keep foot on back break in case it gets toooooo high. just tap it emergency only thats real hard on fork seals..now regular wheelie to put back down just let off all the way immediately like the way you gased it to get it up then as your front end drops gas it again it will fall and the touch down will be smooth..if your wheel is not straight as you mentioned remember to gas it..hang on it will straighten out,then slow down..good luck wheelies are fun just don't learn how to do them in traffic not a good idea..remember when it doubt gas it....

once the wheel comes up, use the rear brake , a little more brake and the front end will come down , a little less brake and the front end comes up, get used to balancing the bike,
you have to over come the roller coaster filling, start out with small wheelies and work into bigger ones , but wear your gear and use your head, do it a way from other cars, and be careful, you don't want ( squirrelman ) to run into you or call the cops on you. have fun

I have tried the popping the clutch method and my bike justs feels too heavy. I am afraid that I will damage the gears or something hehe...maybe i just like to pamper my Viffer.

I am going to re-paint her black in the next month so i suppose in that case that now is the time to learn how to wheelie...if you know what i mean I ordered a 520 chain and sprocket kit that i will have installed on my bike in the next week or so...I have a feeling this will help with the wheeling

i re-geared my bike by lowering it 2 teeth in the front and i also replaced my fork seals and i also installed some new tires and a kevlar clutch. i also removed the baffle out of my exhaust and let me tell you i am now learnign to clutch the wheelie and i have suprised alot of my friends who ride cbr600 and gxr's and they were suprised how high i could get this heavy bike. I recommend finding a big big parking lot and practicing there. then only do it wher eyou are aloud too. Liek parades and what not.

I've always wanted to, but I like me, and my bike too much to do it. I use to have a GSXR that would power wheelie a lot, that was fun.

If my 6th gen can do a wheelie then I'm certain a 4th gen can simply because it has a shorter wheelbase.

the easyiest way is to pre load the front end and then gas it it will come up real easy

Bah I used to be a wheelie guy when i rode dirtbikes and a little with my first streetbike, but whats the point. Unless its a power wheelie that just decided to come up i dont usually have the front wheel off the ground. Granted, my RC came up here and there a lot more than my new to me viffer...but cracking on her hard in first and popping into 2nd to ride it out is fun.
