Is there a 3 row oil cooler that will fit a 4th GEN?
I commute here in Albuquerque and it can be 60 going to work in the morning and 100+ going home in the late afternoon. Do any of the earlier/later Honda 3 row oil coolers fit my '97?
Thanks. |

Thanks Safety Pro. Any info on which generation (year) VFR 3 row cooler works? A buddy has a 2nd gen cooler but doesn't know if it'll go on my '97.

Actually, any gen 3 row will work. Just unbolt from the lines and bolt to your lines. You may have to fab a mount as the 4th gen bolted with one bolt in the middle and earlier ones used 2 bolts, no biggie. It has been done many times.

I did the same thing on my 93, using a first gen CBR600 cooler - so you may find that other honda models work as well. The CBR cooler was not much bigger but mine had been damaged. Here's what I built to mount it from a piece of aluminum.
