K&N Air Filter - any effects on stock bike?

So the bike I recently purchased was basically stock.....
While tearing it down, checking electrical, I decided to replace the air filter. eBay netted a great deal on a K&N filter for my '95.

With the increased airflow, has anyone found a need for rejetting, or was the stock setup rich enough to handle this mod without fuss. Exhaust can is a stocker.

Thanks for the input!

Next up is reowrking the rear tailpiece to fix broken tabs......(see my other thread) I want to keep stock profile

I had a 4th gen a few years back and dropped in a K & N. I was wondering about the rejet too, but the thing ran damn good. And when I checked the plugs, the electrodes were about as perfect a tan color you could ever ask for. --- Answer no... leave it be, just ride it.
-- I had a stock exhaust too.

Thanks for the input. I wouldn't imagine the filter would make that big of a difference, though i have heard of times where an aftermarket filter actually decreased performance.

I have read something similar about the decrease but it was only when comparing a brand new disposable to a the reusable. After the new filter had a few miles on it, the performance was the same. Again, this is hearsay as when I changed to my K&N, I didn't notice a difference except that now I don't have to ever buy another air filter...
