another tire question

i have been looking at past threads and see most people here like the conti. road attacks. i looked at them and they look cool. i have read all the past reviews which are all favorable. my question however is this. i have a 4G and i currently have dunlops on it, they have developed an irregular pattern in the center which i guess is a common problem. does anybody have this wear problem with the conti's or is it isolated to the dunlops? i have also been considering the metler sportech m3's, has anyone tried those?

Which Dunlops are you running (I never worn out the center tread B-4 the sides).

Although I love Dunlops, I have run the Conti's & it's just a tyre that you can't go wrong with for a all around tyre.

You might want to ck out Dunlops web site on the Road Smart Tyres that are available now.
Magazines & personal experiance is proving the best all weather all around long lasting tyre made that are available to joe public for commuting, sport touring, & that speedy jaunt up the canyon .

Just Proper english

Most English speaking the world over refer TIRE as - To tire, I'm tired, retire as to the reason spelled tyre.

USA term for tire just comes across out of place & improper

Yeah, I was just jerkin' Taz's chain. I want to see him spell color with as "colour", as well, as center, "centre", flavor, "flavour", armor, "armour", liter, "litre", luster, "lustre", and so forth and so on.

Truth be known some American spelling makes more sense phonetically than the English original and the best thing about American's English is French is not the worlds International language like it once was....

do you check your tire pressure??????????????????????????? or is your riding style very aggressive ya no brake real late lift the back wheel off the ground putting it a gear to low and let the engine slow you down chattering?? do you ride alot of wheelies ?? that will cup your tires you know the chirp when u put in back down and smoke pours out but its cool.........way cool i think the new road smart dunlops would be a choice to consider the michillens are good and the metz that came on mine work great no complaints ...........

I have had the Bridgestone and the Avon Storm St tires on my 5th Gen VFR, but recently changed to the Dunlop RoadSmart tires. They are the best for me. Stable on all surfaces (groved, grated or potholes), nice smooth ride (not too soft) with great feedback. Excellent in rain and snow. Great for high speed sweeps and some really low leans in the twisties. Incredible grip on all surfaces. Highly reccommend them on a VFR. The Avon Storm ST tires are also good and have a road hazzard warranty, but are not as stable and do not provide the feedback that the Dunlop RoadSmart tires provide.

to answer some of the questions, i have the dunlop sportmax right now. and its not worn out it just has developed like a feathering effect on the center treads, it doesnt affect my riding really it just doesn't look right. tire psi's good i check them frequently, and no wheelies or real aggressve riding. i read that on this gen. honda replaced the tires under a warranty of some type to original owners as a1 time deal because of the wear. maybe these aren't the TYRES oh well, thanks for all resopnses so far.

Yes I knew you were messing with me

But I also agree with john451, because I don't call the trunk a Boot, or a drive shaft a propeller shaft as the British do on there cars/trucks.
So some American changes of the wording makes since & my "TYRES" only tire after I ride the sheeit out of them & make them scream

Thank you, as normally informed I am about "TYRES" I was happy to see your earlier in the year post on the RoadSmarts because I didn't even know about them
So I read up on them,(Google & magazine reports) & was happy on what I read.
I've got some right away & have been very impressed with them in dry, rain, snow, & distance.
I have 3 trips down to SoCal & back to Utah (1500 mile round trip) & very little wear on the center tread. As for the side tread I worked them hard in SoCal on Palomar Mtn, ACS, & up on Mullhulland Dr. in Agura.
This will be my 1st set of TYRES that will make it past the 5000 mile mark.
Actually rarely past 2500 miles, but the Conti road attacks made it to 4700 B-4 replacing.

Yes, I do agree with you sir about your point on phonetics. Also, France officials are not too happy about the truth of your latter comment either....
